Gozo Carnival 2025 is just around the corner!

Gozo Carnival, one of the most highly anticipate celebrations of the year is fast approaching. Join us to see the island at its most beautiful, vibrant and lively this year!

When is Gozo carnival 2025?

You can enjoy the Gozo Carnival from Saturday 22nd February through to Tuesday March 4th in 2025.

Things start with the opening Carnival parade in Republic street, Victoria (Rabat) on the 22nd of February, kicking the festivities off with colour and joyous carnival spirit.

Organised Gozo Carnival events will then be held in each village, giving the opportunity for the whole community to celebrate together. Village carnival dates are as follows:

23rd February - Gharb Carnival (Visitation Square)
23rd February - Nadur Carnival (St Peter & St Paul Square)
25th February - Zebbug Carnival (Assumption Square)
26th February - Qala Carnival (St Joseph Square)
27th February - Munxar Carnival (Church Square)
01st March - Ghajnsielem Carnival Ball (In front of St Joseph Band Club)
01st March - Xaghra Carnival (Nazzarenu Square)
02nd March - Xewkija Carnival (St John the Baptist Square)
02nd March - Xaghra Carnival (Victory Square)
03rd March - Sannat Carnival (St Margaret Square)

Of course, the main event and famous spontaneous carnival will be held in Nadur from the 28th February until the 4th or March. This contunies a long standing tradition and you can expect nights in Nadur to run extrmely late into the nights. Expect intricate, wierd and wonderful floats, crazy and ridiculous costumes, and above all, expect the unexpected!

Carnival is a wonderful time of year where, even in the winter period, the island is full of vibrancy and life. It is certainly not to be missed!
