Hondoq Bay
We are blessed to have such a beautiful, protected beach just a stones throw from the diving centre.
Hondoq bay, on the south-east corner of Gozo, is a shallow protected bay. The crystal clear water, typically calm conditions, and gentle sloping descent make it the ideal dive site for beginners, check dives and even night dives. Divers will enjoy a relaxed, meditative dive with a maximum depth of 12m (perfect for DSD and course dives). Entry and exit is also extremely easy, with options to enter from the bay, or giant stride from the low shelf overlooking the beach.
However, even though the site is a relaxed one, there are still plenty of wonderful Mediterranean creatures to be found! During the summer months the bay is a great place to find octopus, moray eel’s, flying gurnard, and a whole host of smaller reef fish.
Those not diving will enjoy the small beach which is great to swim and enjoy the sun. There are also multiple places to grab a bite and something to drink, as well as bathroom facilities, making it the ideal place to relax while divers are underwater.
